Affiliate Program Terms

Updated Oct 23, 2025

These terms outline the standard participation rules for the Qualitative Analytics (QA) Affiliate Program and may be updated by QA at any time with notice to affiliates. Participation may also be subject to additional terms specific to that affiliate, as confirmed by QA in a written email addendum.

Sale Definition

A sale occurs any time a customer is successfully charged, either through manual checkout or automatic billing. Each sale extends the customer’s subscription period (for example, by one year for an annual subscription, or by one month for a monthly subscription or trial, etc.). Customers remain eligible for a pro-rata refund on their most recent sale in accordance with QA's Terms of Service.

Commission Schedule

Commission Amount: Commissions are calculated based on the gross sticker price of each sale multiplied by the affiliate's commission rate. If a customer refund is issued on a particular sale before the associated commission payout, the commission will be reduced to the net amount retained on that sale (sticker price minus refunds and transaction fees). Once a commission is paid, it is final — QA assumes all remaining refund risk.

Example: With a commission rate of 10%, a $1000 sale will result in a $100 commission owed to the affiliate.

Pay Date: QA will establish a pay date for each commission. The pay date is the earliest date, at least 30 days after the sale, on which a pro-rata refund to the customer for that particular sale will not result in a negative net after the commission is paid.

Example: With a commission rate of 10%, a $7100 annual (12-month) subscription will have a pay date that is 12 months * 10% = 1.2 months after the sale date. A $600 monthly sale will have a pay date that is 30 days after the sale date.

Earnable Months: Affiliate earns commission on sales up to their maximum earnable-months (typically 12) of total purchased subscription time per customer.

Example #1: A customer buys a 1-month trial, and the affiliate earns commission on that sale.
13 months later, the customer purchases an 11-month upgrade, and the affiliate earns another commission.
Having now earned on a total of 12 months of subscription time, the affiliate is no longer eligible for further commissions from that customer.

Example #2: A customer subscribes monthly for 4 months, then switches to an annual subscription. The affiliate earns 5 separate commissions: one for each of the 4 monthly sales, and then on 2/3rds of the annual subscription sale (for a total of 4 months + 8 months = 12 months of purchased subscription time).

Early Payment: QA may, at its discretion, pay the affiliate any commission earlier than that commission's pay date.

Sales Attribution

Click Tracking: Sales are attributed to an affiliate when customers click on links to ewaves.com that include the affiliate's Seller Code Number (SCN) using ?scn=xxx (where xxx is the actual number). When clicked, the SCN is stored (or renewed) on the customer’s device for 180 days. If the customer (1) makes any purchase during that time or (2) signs up for the "EWAVES Updates" mailing list or (3) sends a message to QA via the Contact Us page, the SCN is permanently linked to that customer.

Custom Metadata: The affiliate may include arbitrary custom metadata alongside its SCN in ewaves.com links (e.g., ?scn=xxx&subseller=sam123). This metadata will remain permanently attached to the customer in the same manner as the SCN and will be included in commission reports as embedded JSON. Metadata also includes a seller_timestamp field indicating precisely when the customer clicked the link.

Attribution Exceptions: In the absence of a click-tracked SCN, QA may, at its discretion, recognize other reasonable evidence of referral, such as direct introductions or verified customer contact records, on a case-by-case basis. Partial or full credit may be granted, depending on the circumstances of each referral.
